Folks have been busy lately, especially quite a few of our political representatives.
Earlier this week, a Missouri state Rep. Rick Brattin (R) announced plans to get
HB 813 passed, a bill that limits what SNAP recipients can by, such as ending steak
and lobster purchases, and Governor Sam Brownback of Kansas wants to put a
stop to those gambling, movie-going, swimming and getting tattoos with their EBT
cards. Texas Representative Jason Villalba (R-Dallas) wants to pass a bill known as
HB 2918, which says only licensed media professionals (radio, TV, and print
journalism) can film the police or any public officials. The taxpayers appreciate your
concern, but we think you’re doing entirely too much. So we have to give the side eye
to you all.
